Battery chargers: matched to the pack, not to the voltage alone

A charger is part of the battery system, not an accessory afterthought. This page covers smart chargers for lithium and NiMH packs, and the high-power chargers for large packs — matched by chemistry, voltage and current, not by voltage alone.

Range facts. Charger anchor: 14 charger models in the range index, from multi-slot smart chargers to high-power pack chargers. Detail page: 14.6V 40A 584W charger for 12V LiFePO4 packs.

The charger range divides into three groups. Smart chargers for NiMH batteries include 4-slot LCD smart chargers and 8-bay smart chargers, with real-time status display for charging several batteries at once. Smart chargers for lithium batteries include compact multi-slot chargers for high-drain devices, industrial tools and portable equipment. High-power chargers for large lithium packs include a 300W lithium charger and a series of high-current LiFePO4 chargers up to and beyond 1000W, for solar systems, industrial equipment and energy storage systems.

The detail charger on this site shows what a high-power listing contains: a 14.6V 40A 584W charger for 12V (12.8V) LiFePO4 packs in 4-series configuration, with a pre-charge, constant-current and constant-voltage charging curve under MCU control, efficiency of 90% or higher, 100–240V AC input, fan-assisted cooling, an aluminium alloy housing at 260 x 140 x 85 mm and 2.8 kg, and a 50A Anderson connector plus M8 ring terminal. Its protection functions, as listed, cover over-temperature, short-circuit, over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current and reverse polarity. Its charging-time reference, as listed, is approximately 3 hours for a 12V 100Ah battery and 5.5 hours for a 12V 200Ah battery, with longer times for larger capacities.

That charger also illustrates two limits a buyer must respect. First, it is designed for indoor and dry environments and is not waterproof; outdoor or fully exposed marine charging needs a waterproof series instead, and this site does not present the indoor charger as suitable for those uses. Second, it is designed specifically for 12V LiFePO4 packs in 4-series configuration and is not suitable for lead-acid, NCM or other lithium chemistries, as its own listing states. A charger chosen on voltage alone, without chemistry, is a mismatch even when the numbers look close.

For a charger inquiry, state the pack chemistry, the pack voltage and series configuration, the pack capacity, the charge time you need, the connector you use, and whether the charger will live indoors or outdoors. With those facts, the reply can name a listed charger or a custom charger requirement, including custom voltage, current, connector, housing colour and private labelling for bulk orders, as the detail listing describes for OEM and ODM sourcing.

How to choose in this family

Fix the chemistry first, then the voltage and series count, then the capacity. Check the exact model listing for its own dimensions, protection, certificate set, minimum order and lead time — those values belong to that listing and do not transfer to other models. If no listed size fits your enclosure, the custom route covers custom dimensions and configurations; describe the enclosure and the electrical requirements rather than asking for a general price.

How to place an inquiry, step by step

  1. Send the device facts. Tell us the device type, the available space (length, width and maximum thickness), the nominal voltage you need, the capacity or runtime you target, and the peak current if your device has motors, radios or heaters.
  2. Name the model or the chemistry. If a page on this site matches, quote its model description and listing details. If nothing matches, say so and describe the chemistry and voltage you need, so the conversation starts on the custom route.
  3. Confirm documents and terms in writing. Ask for the certificate set for that exact model, confirm the minimum order, the price basis and the lead time for that listing, and confirm payment and warranty terms before you pay. Terms stated for one model listing do not transfer to another model.
  4. Agree the sample step. Confirm whether the next step is a listed sample, an engineering sample for a custom design, or a small trial order, and what test you will run on arrival — fit in the enclosure, runtime, or peak-current behaviour.

Send all of this in one message through the contact page: device type, space, voltage, capacity, peak current, model description if you have one, and the documents you need. That is the whole inquiry — no separate form, no account, no extra step.

What to send us now

Send one message with your device type, the space the pack must fit, the voltage and capacity you need, the peak current if it matters, and the model description if a page on this site already matches. Add the documents you need — certificates are available upon request — and whether you need a listed model or a custom design. Use the contact page or write to [email protected], or call +86-755-25629920. A specific message like that is what turns a range of hundreds of models into a short, answerable question.
